Bringing guests? Here’s what you need to know
We understand how special this day is for you and your loved ones. There is a guest limit per graduate to make sure everyone has a great experience while we maintain safety protocols.
• You may bring a maximum of two guests; additional guests will not be allowed.
Capture the moment: Photography services
Graduation day is a moment you’ll want to remember forever. Our professional photographers will be there to capture you on stage and take portraits with your loved ones in our photo studio.
• Privately booked photographers will not be allowed inside the venue.
Dress the part: Academic attire
Looking the part is key to feeling confident as you walk across the stage. We’ve made graduation more accessible by removing the refundable deposit usually required to hire academic attire.
• You can hire your complete academic attire at the venue. The hire fee is R400 or R500, depending on your qualification.
• If you have other qualifications, you are welcome to wear your alma mater’s sash and hood.
• Privately owned caps and gowns will not be allowed. This prevents any mix-ups.
Arrival time: Be punctual and prepared
To make sure everything goes smoothly, please arrive at least two hours before your ceremony starts. Plan for possible traffic delays to ensure that you arrive on time.
This will give you enough time to:
1. Start at the registration desks, where you will receive your seating card. Keep your seating card with you at all times.
2. Hire your academic attire.
3. Settle your guests and find your seat.
Payments methods on the day
To make transactions easier and faster, we only accept electronic payments on-site.
• Debit or credit card
• Mobile wallet (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, etc.)
• SnapScan
• As cash payments will not be accepted, please plan ahead
