Graduation Essentials: Your FAQs Answered

Can I change my graduation date or venue?

Yes, but only before RSVPs close. Please let us know at helpdesk.milpark.ac.za (select Graduation), and we will arrange the change.

When do RSVPs close?

On Friday, 14 February 2025 for Cape Town. On Friday, 28 February 2025 for Johannesburg. Please confirm or decline your attendance before RSVPs close.

What time do I need to arrive at the graduation?

Please arrive two hours before the start of the ceremony as there will be a queue to register, hire your academic attire, and take photographs.

How long is the formal graduation ceremony going to be?

On average, between 90 and 120 minutes.

May I bring more than two guests?

No. This is not possible due to venue limitations.

Can I bring my child along?

Yes. If your child is younger than five years old, they can sit on your guest's lap. If they are older, they need their own seat and should be included in your guest count.

Wheelchair access or sign language services?

These are available for graduates and guests, ensuring an inclusive graduation experience for all. If you or your guests need either of these services or have other accessibility needs, please indicate this in your RSVP. You can also let us know via helpdesk.milpark.ac.za (select Graduation).

When will I get my certificate?

Graduates who attend the graduation will receive their qualification certificate on the day of their graduation. If you are unable to attend and are therefore graduating in absentia, your certificate will be couriered to you by SkyNet approximately three to four weeks after the last graduation ceremony has taken place.

Can I bring my own graduation gown?

No. All graduands must wear the correct attire prescribed by Milpark Education. Don't worry, we'll help you hire the right academic attire at the venue on graduation day. There's no need to pre-order these items. Just return your attire after the ceremony.

How much does it cost to hire the academic attire?

Payments at the venue can be made using a debit or credit card, a mobile wallet, or SnapScan – no cash. The hire cost is either R400 or R500 based on the qualification. Please refer to the graduation guide you received with your invitation.

Can I buy my academic attire?

No. Academic attire won't be available for purchase before the graduation ceremony. If you'd like to buy your attire, please let us know at the venue. You can make your payment there, and it will be delivered via courier afterwards.

Will Milpark be recording or live streaming the ceremony?

No. We will not be recording or live streaming the graduations on this occasion.
