This qualification is designed for financial services professionals needing a qualification for FAIS Fit and Proper purposes in specific insurance subcategories, administrative staff aiming to transition to representative roles, and representatives advising on basic risk and savings products.

This industry-oriented qualification aims to equip representatives, as defined by the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act (FAIS Act), with the introductory knowledge and practical techniques needed for advising clients on basic risk products. It is primarily targeted at representatives in Long-Term and Short-Term Insurance who need to understand relevant legislation, products, and personal-selling skills to succeed.

Recognized by the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) for FAIS Fit and Proper purposes, the Higher Certificate in Financial Products provides the necessary knowledge and skills to advise clients on products in Long-Term Insurance subcategories A, B1-A, B2-A, and Short-Term Insurance Personal Lines A1 of BN 194 of 2017.
