About the Programme

The programme is designed for managers with no financial management background to understand the financial implications of managerial decisions.  

This programme will enable participants to participate meaningfully in managerial processes such as budgeting, costing, pricing, working capital management and the analyses of financial statements. Such competencies are particularly important in entrepreneurial organisations, which might not have access to specialised financial management capabilities.

Since financial performance is a central indicator of effectiveness for any business, the fundamental financial literacy offered through this programme is a compelling requirement for managers at all levels.

Foreign students who do not hold a South African matric certificate must present a matric verification from the South African Matriculation Board on application. 

English proficiency 

English Literacy at NQF Level 5 or equivalent is recommended.  Foreign applicants whose first language is not English are required to provide proof of proficiency in English prior to admission to the qualification.
